It is with great sadness that we confirm the death of Korean actor and singer Lee Jihan. He was only 24 years old.

Lee Jihan was among the more than 150 victims killed in the crowd surge tragedy Saturday in Seoul, South Korea. His death was confirmed by his agency 935 Entertainment in a statement online on Sunday.

935 Entertainment said he was “a lovely and warm friend to everyone” and was a “bright and pure person who always greeted everyone with a smile,” according to the BBC.

The Actor’s final social media post, made just hours before the tragedy, was a happy selfie with the caption “Halloween party.”

Lee Jihan is a Korean singer and actor who first rose to prominence as a contestant on the second season of “Produce 101.”

After appearing on the reality show, Jihan made the transition to acting in 2019 and began his career with a role in the online sitcom “Today Was Another Nam Hyun Day.” 

In the show, he played a high school student who was wild about ramen.

Lee’s talent and charisma have won him a loyal fanbase, and he has quickly become one of the most popular young stars in Korea. With his successful career in both singing and acting, Lee Jihan was one of the brightest rising stars in the Korean entertainment industry.

Lee was an incredibly talented young man with a bright future ahead of him. His loss is a devastating blow to his family, friends, and fans all around the world.
